Why we started here
Pipetting error is one of the most common — and most preventable — sources of variability in a wet lab. Yet the businesses that keep pipettes in spec often look like they haven't updated their process since the instruments they service were new. Pricing hides behind a phone call. Certificates get filed away and forgotten. Nobody finds out a pipette is overdue until an audit does.
We think a calibration service can be both rigorous and easy to work with: published prices, fast turnaround, and a digital certificate that lives with the instrument for as long as you own it — not a PDF that gets lost the first time someone reorganizes a shared drive.
Our standards
Every calibration follows the gravimetric method described in ISO 8655-6: an analytical balance measures the actual mass of water dispensed at 10%, 50%, and 100% of an instrument's nominal volume, corrected for temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure, and compared against the systematic and random error limits defined in ISO 8655-2.
Reference balances and weights are checked against traceable national standards, and every measurement — not just the pass/fail outcome — is recorded to your certificate.
